Yuriy Gusev is the Executive Director of Central Cross Country Skiing (CXC), a non-profit organization that promotes and develops cross-country skiing in the central region of the United States. Under his leadership, CXC has developed numerous programs and initiatives to support cross-country skiing at all levels, from youth development to elite competition.
Yuriy is a passionate advocate for cross-country skiing and has received numerous awards for his contributions to the sport. He is known for his innovative and collaborative approach to building partnerships and programs that promote cross-country skiing as a lifelong activity for people of all ages and abilities.
In addition, Yuriy has been serving on the US Ski & Snowboard's Cross Country Sport Committee since 2007, the American Birkiebeiner Ski Foundation board of directors since 2012, the National Nordic Foundation board of directors since 2011, and chaired the Organizing Committee for the 2015 International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Nordic Skiing and Biathlon World Championships in Cable, WI.
